What is franchising?
Franchising is a system where the owner of a proven business allows another party to operate using its brand, systems and know-how under defined rules and support.
Franchising is not "selling the brand". It transfers a whole system: standards, training, support, documentation, legal rights and monitoring. The franchisor owns the system; the franchisee invests and operates with it.
A successful café in Dubai lets an investor in Riyadh open a branch with the same name, menu and service method, trains the team and checks standards.
- Franchisor: owner of the franchise system.
- Franchisee: the investor / operator using the system.
- System elements: system, standards, training, support, documentation, legal rights, monitoring.
